The information and credit card type is accepted by POS, and passed to your processor for verification. Response are tracked and credit card information (last 4 digits only) is printed on your customer sales receipts.

There are no separate slips, no separate scans, and best of all, very little auditing is required to match your bank settlement to your POS system. Credit card information is secure, and encrypted within your system to allow for you to be in compliance with the Credit Card Payment Standard.

Your end of day settlement is done via our software, and audit trails, historical information and bank authorizations are available from within one system.

AVS processing allows for acceptance of an address and zip code at POS. When processing the authorization request, your processor with provide an authorization code, along with an AVS response. This information can help you make an informed decision about the sale, but it does not affect the authorization. It is important to note that AVS only works with credit cards issued by institutions that are based in the United States.

If you receive an AVS response that failed (the customer's street number and ZIP Code do not match the bank's records, you may elect to continue with the sale, but you will liable for potential charge backs. You can decline the sale or contact the cardholders bank (if a number is provided on the back of their credit card) before proceeding. Direct contact with a cardholder and his or her bank can help you avoid a disputed credit card transaction, also known as a chargeback.

Card Verification Value (CVV)
CVV processing is ideal for those retailers who often do credit card transactions when the card is not physically present. CVV provides greater security to merchants who process transactions in situations where their customers' cards are not present.

CVV codes (also referred to as CID and CVC) are codes used to confirm that customers possess genuine credit cards, and that their account numbers are legitimate. The codes are printed in the signature panel on the back of every MC or VISA and Discover and on the front of AMEX. These codes are not encoded in the card's magnetic stripe and they do not print on sales receipts.

When you include this code in the verification process, you processor checks this value against its account record. A code is returned that lets you know if the information matches. Although this response does not directly affect the authorization of the transaction, it can warn you if something is out of the ordinary and help you decide whether or not to continue with the sale.

ASC’s Credit Card processing is the perfect solution to lower rates and simplied credit card payment audit functions.
