ASC has created Executive Info Center to give our customers the ability to use an executive dashboard that is seamlessly integrated into our POS solution. As a retail store operator, a dashboard can be an essential tool for streamlining your business process.  Like the dashboard in your car, a dashboard for your store should quickly convey data that is crucial for keeping your business on course.  Our dashboard is more than just a way to look at sales and inventory data in a graphical, on-screen display.  It is a tool that will let you plan inventory levels, set goals for sales performance, and measure the productivity of your salespeople.

 

The display screen is divided into two tables.  On the left are the sources from which data is being calculated; on the right are the products of those calculations.  You interact with the left-hand table by clicking on any of the available rows.  Each click selects a smaller data source from which calculations are made, thereby changing the figures being displayed on the right.  For example, your first click would show you the data for an entire store.  The second click will bring up data for a single department within that store.  The third click will bring up data about similar items within that department, and so on.

 

The fields that are calculated include; average inventory, annual turn, ROI, COGS, planned sales, variance to plan, conversion percentage, and traffic count. The fields never change, regardless of how deeply you drill into your results.However, the values that are displayed in those fields do, and they come from special tables used only for Executive Info.The special tables are an addition to the standard tables your Craftsman system comes loaded with, and they are updated nightly to ensure your data is always up-to-date.

 

Using Executive Info is easy.  First select a category to filter by; single store sales, department sales, a vendor list, a price category, and an employee list are some of the available filters.  Next, enter in the period range for the two timeframes you would like to compare.  Choices include; week to date, month to date, year to date, season to date, a custom date range and all of the prior period dates that correspond with the current period.  Finally, you decide if you need to include or exclude consigned items.  Your view is complete!  From here it is easy to drill into your search results by clicking on the value you want to learn more about.
