If you are using Pervasive 8
Pervasive has informed us that Pervasive Version 8.x will no longer be sold after July 1, 2006, and support of this version will be discontinued on December 31, 2006. ASC will continue to support this version through June 2007, although it may be restricted to your current version of the ASC Craftsman Software. Craftsman Version 6.0, due out in the fourth quarter of this year will require Pervasive 9.x.

What does this mean to you?
After July 1, 2006, you will not be able to add additional Pervasive users to your system without upgrading your current version to Pervasive 9.x. If you wish to remain on Pervasive 8.x through the end of the year, but think you may need additional user licenses before then, you should purchase them by July 1, 2006.  There is no need to upgrade until you need additional users or Version 6.0 of Craftsman,  but you may want to upgrade before the busy season, since support of this product by Pervasive is being discontinued on Dec 31, 2006.

 

Pervasive 2000i has not been available for sale for some time, and support of this product was discontinued by Pervasive in December of 2004. ASC has continued to support this version, but only on Craftsman for Windows version 4.x and below. ASC will discontinue support of this version of Pervasive on December 31, 2006. Version 4.x of craftsman is supported, but no longer distributed.

What does this mean to you?
You should upgrade your Pervasive Licenses to 9.x, and upgrade your Craftsman Software to version 5.x.  If you need to add additional Pervasive users to your system, you must upgrade your
Pervasive Version. If you want the latest ASC release (Craftsman 5.x), you must upgrade to Pervasive 9.x.
