The Stock Selection Center from ASC

Inventory searches made easy
stkselx_1_thumb.jpg
One of ASC’s most frequently used programs is the Stock Selection Center.  This is an interface that allows you to quickly and easily access information about your inventory position.  The design is very simple to use, and returns a data table that you can sort, which makes viewing sales and stock information a snap.  When you open the program, you are greeted with a screen asking you to fill in the available fields with item criteria.  By filling in pieces of information about the items you want to evaluate, you are directing the program to search the your database and only bring back items that meet your criteria.  You only need to enter one field, but you have more than 40 available.

Find items quickly

To view a broad category, say all of the items made by a single vendor, you would enter in the name of that vendor.  If you wanted to search for a more specific type of merchandise, you would add more search criteria.  The Stock Selection Center has multiple filters, so your inquiries can be very detailed.  You can filter your results by; vendor type, item locations, cost range, sell price range, diamond characteristics or consigned items versus paid items.  You can quickly access up-to-the second stock availability, aging analysis on current stock, and historical sales analysis with a comparison to current stock levels.

Flexible viewing options
stkselx_3_thumb.jpg
The Stock Selection Center has a lot of flexibility built into the way your search results are displayed.  A good example is Craftsman’s imaging.  You can view item images in the grid next to the SKU number, or in a row at the bottom of the screen.  If you are a multi-store jeweler, you can turn the images off completely to make more room for data.  If you are interested in summary information about sales performance, it’s right there for you.  If you want, you can click on the expand button to view item performance by location, or you can change the configuration of the screen so it always displays the multi-store location data automatically.

Complete item history
stkselx_4_thumb.jpg
Once you have configured the display, you can drill down into the history of a specific item by double-clicking on the SKU number.  Craftsman for Windows maintains a very detailed audit trail for the transaction history of each piece received into the system, and the Stock Selection Center displays these audit trails completely.  Looking at the item information will show much more than just in-stock information; you will be able to see when the piece was first received, who received it, when it was transferred, which case it was transferred to, who transferred it, which customer bought the piece, and more.

Print your search
stkselx_5_thumb.jpg
Once you build an inventory view, you have several different ways to print the information you found.  You can choose to print a summary report, a detail report, and reports with or without images.  Even though Craftsman comes supplied with over 140 different push-button reports, and has the ability to display your data in an almost unlimited number of ways, it’s still nice to be able to take away just the data you need from an easy-to-use search utility.  At ASC, we’re prepared to deliver the critical information you need to be more successful.

The Stock Selection Center is just one example of the many applications that have been developed by ASC.  For more that 27 years we have been empowering independent luxury retailers to take control of every aspect of their business.  At ASC, we know that our system will be the last jewelry software you ever buy.
