ASC has always provided a complete POS system that our clients use to track detailed transaction histories of all the purchases, repairs and special orders that are processed through their front end. Like any powerful computer application, our current POS system required proper training to take full advantage of its features. 25 years of experience, and lots of customer feedback, were used to make our brand new POS intuitive. New employees will be comfortable entering sales after a few practice runs, and experienced ASC users will need no additional training at all!
 
Find or add customers quickly
ascpos_2_web_thumb.jpgFinding a customer with our touch-screen application is a breeze. Simply touch the binocular icon on the screen to indicate that you want to search for a customer, and enter in as much information as you can about that customer. You can match on partial name, phone number, address, social security number or account number. Broad search criteria will return a long list of customers to choose from; while a refined search will get you right to the customer you are looking for. Once you have found the customer, the application contains a direct link to our Customer Information Center, where you can easily edit data in an existing file, or add a new customer to your database.
 
 
Manage your different sale types
ascpos_3_web_thumb.jpgOur touch screen POS system makes it easier than ever to track special orders, new sales, layaways, charge account sales, pickups, payments, returns and lay cancels. You can easily split a sale between multiple associates, and you can enter in a “source” code with each ticket that helps you track how effective your advertising is. Most of our customers print tags with barcodes that can be quickly scanned at the register. If a tag ever gets lost, our lookup utility will help you find the right piece. You can look up non-merchandise items like appraisals or repairs too. You can search vendor numbers, SKU numbers, or for a word in the item description. We make all your data easy to find.
 
 
Giving merchandise away?
ascpos_4_web_thumb.jpgAny item in your Craftsman for Windows system can have a picture associated with it, and if you choose to take pictures of your inventory, the image will be displayed on-screen during the sale. Item entry also makes it easy to provide percentage or fixed dollar discounts. Like every other ASC application, each user is granted a security level that enables permissions based upon a user profile. A store manager would have a profile that allowed item discounts without any restrictions, while a cashier would need manager approval to enter in any discount above a certain percent. Regardless of who is approving these exceptions, Craftsman keeps a complete log of the transaction.
 
 
 
Cash AND credit? No problem
ascpos_5_web_thumb.jpgOur Point-of-Sale application also allows for many different tender types. If store credits have always been difficult to manage, merchandise credits and gift cards are on file and assigned to a specific customer. The system keeps track of the credit balance without you or your customers having to worry about cumbersome paperwork. Your sales associates simply have to look up a credit and apply it to a sale in the tender type window. It is easy for a customer to use multiple payment types in ONE transaction; up to four merchandise credits, four separate credit cards, coupons, third party credit and cash. Tender types are easily entered, managed and changed based upon the needs of your customer.
