Craftsman for Windows operates on Microsoft Windows server systems, using an SQL data base. Remote locations use terminal services to connect to the main server and all data is available on a real-time connection.

The software offers many levels of security where you can restrict access to any transaction as well as cost information. There are many standard reports and sophisticated users can develop and modify many of these using Crystal Reports. The SQL data base allows easy access to the data from other
ODBC compliant programs such as Excel and MS Access.

Wide Area Network

Craftsman operates in an MS Windows server environment with remote locations using Terminal Services or Citrix for real time update and access to data. Remote stores are restricted to data access via security settings.

Point of Sale

Bar Coded Tags are printed using Zebra Printers. Inventory is taken using hand held devices with built in scanners. Sales and repair receipts can print on laser, DeskJet or 40 column printers.

Security

Each user has a password and login, which restricts the functions which they can perform. A user can be restricted to a menu, a set of programs or a specific computer.
